Ein NCAP (New Car Assessment Program(me), deutsch etwa: „Neuwagen-Bewertungs-Programm“) soll Automobilkäufern und Kraftfahrzeugherstellern eine realistische und unabhängige Beurteilung der Sicherheitsmerkmale einiger der meistverkauften Fahrzeuge geben und führt hierzu auch standardisierte Crashtests von Automobilen durch.
